Bio Summary

Dan is a very hard working artist and devoted to doing the best job he can do in any situation.

Early Life/Family

Dan Lund learned a very strong work ethic from his father and mother. His father was a handyman and his mother was in to doing crafts. He was more into movies than cartoons as a child. He was very particular, only the classics of animation such as Disney, but no Filmation.

After graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1989 he moved to California and landed a job with Disney Features as a production assistant. While working as a PA he trained to become an effects animator.

Career Outline

Dan Lund worked at Disney for 15 years as an Effects Animator. Dan was laid off when Disney Features traditional animation department in Burbank closed. He then moved to Florida to work on the Disney animated feature “Brother Bear”; was laid off again when production on that film wrapped. Soon after his lay off from Disney, Dan created a documentary about the shut down of Disney’s traditional feature animation department called “Dream On Silly Dreamer”. About two years later he was hired back at Disney Features in Burbank to work on the traditionally animated feature film “The Frog Prince”.
