Bio Summary

Animator and an animation collector, for thirty-three years. Mark worked at most major art studios in Los Angeles, including Disney(Fantasia 2000, Beauty and the Beast, Who Framed Roger Rabbit) hanna-Barbera, and Warner Bros.(Osmosis Jones, Looney Tunes: Back in Action.) Mark has been working on his own 3.5 minute short cartoon,”It’s ‘ The Cat.’” 
Early Life/Family: Mark began animating he own characters at the age of eight. He completed 12 different 8mm cartoons before graduating high school.

He received the Bobe Cannon scholarship to Chouinard Art Institute and graduated in 1970. Mark originally studied painting at school until the lure of animation brought him to Los Angeles.

Mark Kausler grew up watching “Scrappy”,”Krazy Kat”,”Flip the Frog”,”Betty boop”’”Ko-Ko the Clown”,”Felix the Cat”,”Tom and Jerry”,”Casper”, and “The Mickey Mouse Club” on his father’s television and in theatres. 1920’s pop recordings heavily influenced Mark in the creation of his personal short “It’s ‘The Cat’”.
