Comments On Style
“ Bill Littlejohn was a master of his craft and somebody who was completely in tune with Modern design values. I’ve seen a lot of his commercial work so I have a fairly good sense of how he’d move these characters, but even if you haven’t seen a lot of his work, it’s easy to appreciate the animation genius contained within these stills.”

I worked with Bill on most of the Peanuts, first 2 Garfield, and Cathy TV shows. Bill was one of the world's best animators. He worked with Bill Melendez Productions for over 35 years working on all our shows and tons of commercials. He did a very short pencil test for a possible Calvin & Hobbes TV show, but it didn't fly with Bill Waterson. The life he bought to Hobbes was so wonderful. Bill was one of the few animators that didn't do roughs of the characters but just drew straight ahead.
