Came to Disney in the midst of the loss of Oswald the rabbit to Warner Brothers. Originally a musician, he worked on synchronization for animation shorts. Became a director on accident.

Education/Training: The County Art Institute, now Otis Parkins. Jackson asked Disney to let him observe animators, Jackson was hired instead.

Came to work for disney in 1928 in the midst of the Oswald the rabbit disaster. He began his work as a musician, synchronizing music for disney’s shorts. Steamboat Willy 1928, The Old Mill 1937, Fantasia 1940, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland 1951, Peter Pan 1953, Lady and the Tramp 1955 are just a few of his most recognizable pieces of work.
